Verse of the Day
KELP AM/FM - El Paso's Christian Station!
March Supporter Letter
When you are doing the Lord’s work the time seems to go by quickly. That’s what happened to us at KELP. It was February 14th ,Valentine’s Day, and my 15th wedding anniversary. That was the day the Lord gave us KELP radio. I was in El Paso all by myself. It was a cold windy day. I had somewhat of a plan for the station. It was for five years. Little did I know that I would be beginning our seventh “five-year” plan this year. That means we have been in El Paso for 30 years. It has gone by fast, but it has been with joy to see the Lord work in the lives of our listeners and the people who have worked at the station.Thirty years is a great accomplishment. If it hadn’t been for the Lord guiding us every day for all of these years I’m not sure if we would’ve made it this far. We have been grateful for the support we received, not only from national ministries but our local ministries and you, our listeners.
The Bible says we are created in God’s image, which means in part that we love to accomplish great things. We can’t create worlds, of course, but we can create things that make a world of difference in peoples’ lives.
God wants you to have a sense of accomplishment. What task, goal, or dream do you think He might be calling you to today? Whatever you do, do it to the best of your abilities in order to bring glory to God.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
We will be celebrating our anniversary all year. Join with us as we watch the Lord draw people to himself and make old lives new.
Thank you for thirty years,
