Verse of the Day
KELP AM/FM - El Paso's Christian Station!
April 1, 2015
Spring is here. It’s great, especially for the ones who have been under snow the whole year. It has been a long winter for everyone. It is interesting to me how often prayer changes us. Our whole attitude can be modified as we pray. God changes our hearts, giving us a new confidence.
In Psalm 13 David started out in distress. “How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?” He was distraught and feeling abandoned by God. But by the end of the prayer, in the last verse, he had changed his tune: “I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.”
Coming into the presence of God and crying out to Him changes everything. As I come to Him, I find so often that the result of my prayer was really to change me. Do you find that as well in your prayer life? The Lord is good isn’t He?
I hope you are listening to these men and women of God we have on every day. I believe that the Lord is using them to prepare us for the future. We need the Holy Spirit to lead us into truth. There are some people who just seem to be led toward heresy. They are attracted to every false teaching that comes along. Heresy usually grows out of the idea that God didn’t really mean what he said. His truth doesn’t usually require a lot of explanation. “Lord, lead me in your truth, and teach me.”
Thank you for your support of KELP Radio. It is through people like you that the Lord uses to keep us strong. Please tell other people about the station and especially the ones you know are looking for the Lord and have questions.
